Veteran Deferments

A deferment of fee payment may be available to qualified veterans. A deferment note must be signed and any additional charges paid in full before registration is considered complete. Contact the Office of Veteran Services at (520) 621-9501 for additional information.

To avoid late charges, the deferment must be applied to the account by the payment due date for each semester.

To obtain a Veteran deferment, the following steps must be completed:

  1. Go to the Office of Veteran Services, Modern Languages Building, Room 347, to determine if you are eligible for a fee deferment.
  2. If eligible, the Office of Veteran Services will provide the necessary deferment note to be completed.
  3. Once the deferment note is completed, take the note to the Bursar's Office, University Services Building, Room 104, to be applied to your account. All other charges must be paid prior to applying the Veteran deferment to your account.
  4. Any credits received will be applied toward your deferment and any other encumbrances on your account.

Past-Due Debt on Veteran Deferments

If you have a past-due debt, you are considered financially ineligible to register, and will be restricted from registering, obtaining transcripts, grades, diplomas, etc., until the outstanding debt is paid. The hold will be lifted the second business day after the account balance is paid in full.

Interest accrues on past-due Veteran deferments at 18% per annum.

Refer to Bursar's Accounts Receivable for more information on Past-Due Debt.

Any other questions, contact the Office of Veteran Services at (520) 621-9501.
